The short version

Shetu does not use advertising trackers or sell personal data. We collect the minimum needed to run the site, send the newsletter you ask for, and answer messages you send us.

If you subscribe to The Shetu Brief, we store your email address, the date you subscribed and the page you subscribed from. We use it only to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form, including your name and email, are stored so we can reply. We do not use them for marketing.

Preferences stored on your device

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and reliability. These logs are kept for a limited time.

Third parties

Share buttons are simple links. Nothing is loaded from social networks until you click one. Links in our stories lead to other websites with their own privacy policies.
